Safety City is a fun time for your children to apply the safety lessons they have learned in their classroom, in a safe environment. You (parents, grandparents, guardians, etc.) are invited to come with your child's class or group to Safety City. This opportunity allows you to observe what your child has learned, and therefore, reinforce the safety rules with your child once you are back at home. You are encouraged to stay with the class during their Fire Safety, Stranger Awareness instruction, as well as the traffic safety portion of the program.
We do ask for your help while you are at Safety City. During the traffic safety portion of the program you will be asked to assist the staff around the course at Safety City. We will instruct you on what to watch for and how to assist the kids. We request you not bring younger children with you.
Please feel free to bring your camera or video camera with you. Remember to dress according to the day's weather; heavy coats & gloves if it is cold and hats & sunscreen if it is hot. Due to the activities you and your child will be participating in, we would like to suggest that you wear tennis shoes.
Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or concerns regarding your child's visit to Safety City.
