Officer Pyeatt joined the Abilene Police Department in 1995 and became a member of the K9 Unit in 2000. He was teamed with King in 2004. King is a Black German Shepherd from Germany. In May 2005 Officer Pyeatt and King took 1st Place n the patrol dog certifications and second place in narcotics detection.  Officer Pyeatt and King have developed a reputation from tracking down escaping criminals.
